Ortho benzene two formate is a synthetic widely used plastic plasticizer. It is widely used in toys, childcare products, food packaging materials, PVC materials, lubricants and personal care products (such as nail polish, soap, shampoo, etc.). The consumer product safety improvement act of the United States (CPSIA) also has relevant requirements to control phthalates.

California bill 65 contains the relevant requirements of act ab1108 on phthalates.
