The battery contains lead, cadmium, mercury, acid, alkali and other pollutants. When it is discarded in the environment, it will cause serious harm to the ecological environment and human health. Therefore, the limitation of harmful substances in batteries, the recycling and recycling of waste batteries have attracted widespread attention from all walks of life.
Relevant regulations and our services:
The EU directive 2006/66/ec on batteries and batteries sets out the responsibilities of battery manufacturers, recovery details, recovery rates, battery marking patterns, and the requirements for limiting substances lead, cadmium, mercury content and related exemptions.
The requirements for the restricted substances are as follows:
1. it is prohibited to sell batteries and batteries with mercury content exceeding 0.0005% and cadmium content exceeding 0.002%.
2. button batteries containing less than 2% mercury can be exempted.
3. the requirements of cadmium content of battery not exceeding 0.002% shall not be applicable to emergency lamps and alarm systems.
All batteries, batteries, and packages must be labeled "separately collected", except for the European Union, the United States, China, Canada, Japan, Australia, and have introduced their own battery laws.
