IEC standards of International Electrotechnical Commission are adopted by most countries in Europe, Australia, Asia Pacific, etc., and they are converted or equivalent to national or regional standards such as en, as / NZS, GB, etc. For lamps and lanterns, the main standard is IEC 60598, which is divided into two parts: the first part is the general requirements of lamps and lanterns. The second part is the special requirements, which are the supplementary requirements of more than 20 kinds of lamps, such as fixed type, mobile type, light string, emergency light, etc; Ballast, transformer, driver and other light control devices adopt standard en61347, which is also divided into two parts: the first part is the general safety requirements of light control devices. The second part is the supplementary requirements of electronic or inductive ballasts for tungsten filament lamp, fluorescent lamp, discharge lamp, neon lamp, etc; The standard of energy saving lamp is en60968. For the three basic product categories of LED lamps, LED light source products and LED drivers, the safety standards of the finished products or parts are followed respectively. For LED modules, IEC / en62031 standard is added. For LED light source products, iec62560 standard is launched, and en standard is still in the process of transformation.
ANSI / UL & CSA North American standard system is very different from IEC (EN, as / NZS, GB) standard system. UL & CSA Standard is to formulate different standard numbers for products, and product standards become various, including ul1598, UL 153, UL 1573, UL 1574, UL 962, UL 1786, ul924, ul1993, UL588, ul935, ul1029, ul1012, UL2161 and corresponding CSA specifications; North America has also launched ul8750 standard for LED products, which is used together with various practical application product standards.
For the use of lamps in wet and outdoor places such as bathrooms and gardens, the IP code test is also required. The IP level refers to the dustproof and waterproof level of electrical equipment. For the specific meaning of the two digit code in the IP level, please refer to IEC / en 60529. In addition, Beitong test can also provide testing of IK shell mechanical protection level and other safety aspects.
