FCC certification

FCC certification

FCC certification is compulsory certification of EMC in the United States. It mainly aims at the FCC certification products of electronic appliances from 9KHz to 3000ghz, which covers radio, communication and other aspects, especially radio interference problems of wireless communication equipment and systems, including radio interference limits and measurement methods, certification system and organization management system. FCC controlled products, such as personal computers, CD players, photocopiers, radios, fax machines, video game machines, electronic toys, television sets and microwave ovens. These products are classified into two categories by use: Class A and class B, class A is for commercial or industrial purposes, and class B is for household use. FCC has stricter requirements on Category B products, low limit and class A. for most electronic and electrical products, the main standards are FCC Part 15 and FCC part 18.

FCC Certification Form:

FCC has three authentication modes for different products, namely, verification declaration of performance (DOC) and certification. Different certification modes require the test laboratory to obtain FCC approval, and different application, test and declaration requirements.

1. Verification: self verification: manufacturer or importer ensures that necessary tests are carried out to confirm that the products meet relevant technical standards and keep test reports. FCC Listee, the test laboratory, all approved sites are published on the official Internet. FCC has the right to request the manufacturer to submit test data of equipment samples or products. Self validating equipment includes commercial computers, receivers for TV and FM and industrial, scientific and medical equipment used by non mass consumers of FCC rule Part 18.

2. Declaration of conformity (DOC): the declaration of conformity. The responsible party of equipment (generally the manufacturer or importer) tests the products at the qualified testing agency designated by FCC to ensure that the equipment meets relevant technical standards and keeps the test report. The certification authority must have the authorization of nvlap/ A2LA. FCC has the right to ask the responsible party to submit the test data of the samples or products of the equipment. The equipment applicable to the declaration of conformity includes home computers and peripherals, civil broadcast receivers, super regeneration receivers, other receivers of FCC rule Part 15, television interface equipment, cable system terminal backup and industrial, scientific and medical equipment used by the mass consumers of Part 18.

3. Certification: ID authentication, which is the process of FCC signing equipment approval based on application and test data. FCC reviews samples (or photos) and test data submitted by applicants, and authorizes the equipment with an FCC ID number if they meet FCC rules. The equipment applicable to certification includes low-power transmitter such as cordless telephone, remote controller of automatic door, radio remote control toy and safety alarm system, equipment of Part 15 that intentionally transmits radio frequency energy, industrial, scientific research and medical equipment used by the mass consumers of Part 18, automatic frequency conversion receiver and super regeneration receiver, and television interface equipment, And home computers and their peripherals. The responsible party shall have FCC ID mark on the equipment.

FCC main standards

FCC Part 15 and part 18 are the most widely used:

FCC standard scope of application

FCC Part15 c/e/f intending radiation device test

FCC Part 18 industrial, scientific and medical equipment

FCC Part 22 public mobile communication services

FCC Part 24 personal communication services

FCC Part 25 satellite communication service

FCC Part 27 other FCC wireless communication services

FCC part 68 telecommunication terminal equipment

FCC Part 15 provides for intended, unintentional or instantaneous launch equipment that does not require a personal license in use. It includes technical specifications, administrative requirements and other market access conditions. The products are divided into four categories: unintentional launch equipment, intentional launch equipment, personal communication equipment without license, and basic information equipment of countries without license.

FCC Part 18 specifies the electromagnetic energy emitted by industrial, scientific and medical equipment (ISM) working on a certain spectrum to avoid harmful interference to authorized wireless communication services.

Specific steps for customers to entrust FCC certification:

1. Customer submit application form (blank application form provided by our company);

2. The client and our company sign the entrusted testing contract;

3. Send samples for testing, and prepare electrical schematic diagram, external / internal photos, oscillator circuit diagram, nameplate identification of user manual, operation principle description, etc. (according to product);

4. After the test is qualified, if it is FCC VOC certification, our company directly issues the certificate and report of conformity. If it is FCC doc or ID certification, we will submit the application materials to the certification authority authorized by FCC;

5. After the enterprise obtains FCC certification, it can use FCC logo on the product;

Note: FCC ID certification requires submission of a list of information and requirements as follows:

1) FCC application form: the information requirements of the name, address, contact information, product name and model, and use standard of the application company shall be accurate and correct;

2) FCC authorization letter: it shall be signed and sealed by the contact person of the application company and scanned into electronic file;

3) FCC confidential letter: confidential letter is an agreement signed by the applicant company and TCB organization to keep the product data confidential. It shall be signed and sealed by the contact person of the applicant company and scanned into electronic file;

4) Block diagram: all crystal vibrations, as well as crystal frequency, shall be drawn and consistent with the circuit diagram;

5) Circuit diagram: it must be consistent with the frequency, number and position of crystal vibration in the block diagram;

6) Line description: English is required, and the function realization principle of the product is clearly described;

7) Operation manual: FCC warning words are required;

8) Label and label location: the label should have FCC ID number and statement, and the label position should be significant;

9) Product inside and outside view photos: the pictures shall be clear and clear, and remarks shall be added if necessary;

10) Test report: the test is required to be completed and the products are evaluated comprehensively according to the standard terms;
